Thank you for your interest in applying for a Be a Philanthropist grant. Fall 2019 applications are now closed, but check back on February 4, 2020 for more opportunities.
Funds for Fall 2019 will be distributed near the end of November/early December.
You may only have one grant per academic year per person.
We will not cover transportation or personal costs.
We will not select duplicate projects or organizations per academic year. (this includes if multiple people try different projects for the same organization, only one will be chosen)
You are required to fill out a report on your work and experience of the project

We review grant applications once we hit the deadline. It will take at least two weeks after the deadline to let you know if your grant was accepted. If your grant was not accepted, we will give you suggestions to help improve your idea for the next application period.
Projects are rated on a scale of 1-5 for the following criteria:
Once your application has been accepted, you will need to fill out and submit tax forms by the deadline in the email. A W-9 is required for citizens of the United States and a W-8BEN is required for non-citizens. Your signature has to be a legitimate signature, not a digital signature. Please send all forms to firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you did not submit the forms by the deadline and/or you did not include a legitimate signature, we cannot give you the grant money.
