What is Grassroots Philanthropy?
Grassroots Philanthropy is an innovative approach to giving money and supporting great causes. The central point of grassroots philanthropy is to give based on relationships. We have a relationship with you as fellow students and community members, and we know you have formed strong relationships with non-profits, individuals, or other organizations who are trying to make a difference in the world. We respect the relationships you have formed, and want to give you the opportunity to initiate your ideas that will have a high impact on our community. Instead of asking for a general request for grant applications from organizations, we trust you, the BYU student or community member, to know where and how the funds will do the most good.
